TonyTony Rossellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05288238496792646049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8701810422851568415.post-53727344161721692892008-03-23T15:46:00.000-04:002008-03-23T15:46:00.000-04:00Raised as a Christian I do not feel that people ar...Raised as a Christian I do not feel that people are losing a sense of right and wrong. <BR/><BR/>I do share the view of many that a religion that is based on a view that we start out as sinners who must be "saved" by the one and only enlightened being or go to hell does not make sense. <BR/><BR/>Further, to take that premise, then "die for our sins" when we know we are capable of great good and great evil - and when we did not ask the the symbolic gesture on our behalf -seems more like the act of a controlling parent who is not at ease with himself/herself than a parent who is conscious of his inherently good and evil potential - and who seeks to look first to love, act in love, seek to support the loving nature of others. <BR/><BR/>But I do go on, as others do who were raised as Christians. My parents constancy of love has meant more to me than their Christianity.<BR/><BR/>I do believe in a higher being in and of us.
